Signal for Companies
How the Signal Score Works
Dealroom Signal is the average of three scored inputs — Founding Team, Growth, and Completeness — on a 1–100 scale. A fourth indicator, Timing, is tracked separately and is not part of the score.

Founding Team
Based on the Founder Score & Top Management of every founder at the company. It factors in:
Previous funding raised
Size of previous companies
Top corporate experience
Top university experience
Prior management experience
Promising
Recently founded, with strong credentials or a background from a top company or university
Strong
26+ employees or €2.6M+ raised
Exceptional
300+ employees or €30M+ raised
Growth
Based on employee size over the last 3, 6, or 12 months — the more history available, the stronger the signal. Growth is measured relative to same-size companies in the same sector, so a company can post positive growth and still score lower if it's underperforming its peers.
Completeness
Measures how rich the company profile is —
website, founders, tags, launch date, social media, and more. If completeness is low, use the
enhancement button to request an update and improve the profile.
Timing Not scored
Tracked separately from the Signal score, Timing estimates the likelihood and timing of a new funding round. It doesn't feed into the score, but it's a useful indicator for investors watching for the right moment to reach out.
