Signal for Companies
Company Signal Score
Dealroom Signal represents the average of four inputs: completeness, founding team, growth rate, and timing. Score range: 1–100.
Completeness
Evaluates profile and contextual data completeness, including sector fit.
Founding Team
Assesses prior performance, experience, serial entrepreneur status, and educational background.
Growth Rate
Examines employee expansion within the organisation.
Timing
Determines likelihood of imminent funding rounds using proprietary benchmarks; scores typically reset post-funding, peak at one year, then decline.
Signal for People
People Signal Score
The People Signal Score forecasts founder success potential (1–100 scale) using three factors.
Track Record
Evaluates capital raised and company scale using logarithmic scaling.
Promising Signals
Identifies potential through top-tier company experience, elite education, optimal age ranges (35–50), and management background.
Staleness Penalty
Reduces scores for founders whose recent ventures launched 3+ years ago without strong results.
