Lists are collections of company (or investor) profiles grouped by whatever logic you choose — they're your personal workspace for tracking, comparing, and sharing companies on Dealroom. Add AI-powered landscape sorting to take them further.
How to Create a List
Navigate to any company profile on Dealroom and click the "Save" button in the top right corner. A dropdown will appear showing your existing lists.
Select an existing list to add the company, or click "Create new list". Type a name for your list (e.g. "DACH SaaS Prospects", "Series A Watchlist") and click Create list.
Once created, open your list to edit the description, add more companies, and manage owners. Keep building it by saving more profiles — or contact
[email protected] for bulk additions of large datasets.
AI-Powered Landscape Sorting
With your list open, switch to Landscape view. Define at least three categories (e.g. "AI-native", "Data Infrastructure", "Application Layer"). These become the columns of your landscape.
Hit the "Generate Landscape with AI (beta)" button. Dealroom's AI will analyse each company — using name, client focus, tagline, industries, about section, HQ location, tags, and descriptions — and automatically sort them into your defined categories.
Review the AI's sorting. Manually drag companies into the right category if needed — you can select multiple companies and drag them as a group for faster bulk reclassification. When satisfied, click "Save Landscape".
Sharing & Collaboration
Click the three-dot menu on your list and select "Add more owners". Enter the co-owner's details to give them edit access. Great for working on deal flow with colleagues or managing a shared watchlist.
From the list menu, select "Share Privately". Copy the generated private link and send it to anyone — they don't need a Dealroom account to view it. Ideal for sharing a landscape with founders, LPs, or external stakeholders.
Click "Publish" next to the creator names on your list. Once published, your landscape becomes visible to the entire Dealroom community. Perfect for showcasing sector maps, ecosystem overviews, or curated portfolio pages.

Use lists as the backbone of your research workflow — save companies as you discover them, then use the landscape view when you're ready to map and present your findings.
