What is dealroom?

Dealroom is a data-driven marketplace for venture capital. One single hub facilitates direct and secure access to the world’s top professional investors, family offices, super angels and founders. Our mission is to enable smarter and faster investment decisions in private capital markets and to reduce friction and barriers.

What data can I find here?

On companies: key facts and performance indicators on 350,000+ tech companies across 10,000+ tech subsectors. From seed to mature stage companies. On investors: global data on 3,500 tech funds, angels, and corporate investors, including their investment activity, style, portfolio, performance, and much more. From seed stage to buyout.

Where does the data come from?

We have four sources of data:

  • User generated by VCs and founders who have an account
  • Curation by Dealroom analysts
  • Artificial Intelligence to aggregate and organise big data from the web
  • Incoming data feeds from data partners

Can I invest in companies listed on dealroom?

You’d need an investor account and then need to receive and invitation to a dataroom from a company raising capital. You can express interest by contacting the dealroom team and/or by favoriting the company. To be eligible, we must satisfy that you are a professional investor. Dealroom does not do crowdfunding and is not open to investing by retail investors.

How can I raise capital on dealroom?

To be eligible, your company must have at least €1M+ run-rate revenues, a sustainable business model, and strong KPIs. You can apply by opening a dataroom and privately post some details on your company. All information is kept confidential. Your application will receive prompt constructive feedback.

Why must I have at least €1M+ run-rate revenue?

Seed stage rounds are better served with investors from your own existing network, aided by platforms such as Angel.co or crowdfunding. The strength of our platform lies in the data-driven approach. So we need traction data to be able to rank companies. Also most investors on the platform focus on later stage companies.

What is the Peer Rank?

Peer Rank is an indicator of a company's performance relative to its peers, taking into account signals such as: traffic, number of employees, social engagement, funding momentum, and relative size. The algorithm is developed by Dealroom and is continuously being improved.

What is the Total Growth?

Total Growth is an indicator of a company's absolute performance, but with a pure emphasis on real-time growth, not taking into account a company’s size. The MomentumScore was developed in cooperation with Cole Street.

Who is behind dealroom?

Skynet. Apart from that, a team of young fintech enthusiasts, backed by serial-entrepreneurs and angel investors.

What do you mean by a data-driven marketplace?

Online marketplaces (for homes, cars, or anything else) need some level of data and transparency to thrive and attract buyers. In our case the data we collect and provide is about companies, their performance, and context around the securities on offer, to ensure that the quality remains high.

Can edit company profiles on dealroom?

You can edit data if:

  • you are part of that company’s team
  • you are in investor the company and the company profile has not been claimed

Can I claim ownership of my profile?

Yes, you can claim a profile during sign up. It is quick and easy.
