Anastasiia Smyk, CEO & co-founder, InputSoft – Kyiv – raised $120K from Techstars Jan 2022

InputSoft is an aviation software solutions company that aims to improve the quality of passenger and airline services, reduce labor costs, and optimize technological processes during ground handling operations. Their software creates efficient scheduling and improved utilization of airline work shifts, forecasting of various airport occupancy patterns for any number of flights, reporting and analysis of received data from all company activities, and automatic calculation of the cost of services and invoicing.

Since the start of the Russian invasion, InputSoft’s CEO, Anastasiia Smyk, has been utilizing her company’s software to keep transportation and aviation businesses informed about the airspace restrictions affecting travel in the EU and Russia.

Anastasiia Gliebova, CEO & co-founder, V-Art – Kharkiv – raised $25K July 2021

V-Art combines NFT marketplace and IP rights to trade and manage digital assets with immersive exhibitions to experience and interact with art.

On March 4th, V-Art launched its first marketplace. Due to the war in Ukraine, the company’s CEO & co-founder, Anastasiia Gliebova, dedicate its first collection to raise funds and support humanitarian efforts in the founding team’s home country.

The majority of the funds will be the donated to charities as well as distributed to localized immediate efforts on the ground. The rest of the proceeds will stay with Ukrainian artists and institutions, and cover the operations of their Ukrainian team members, who are currently partially working from basements and volunteer stations.

Kateryna Domchenko, COO & founder, Horos.AI – Kyiv – raised $25K May 2021

Horos.AI is an artificial intelligence software and hardware solutions company that provide data analysis for businesses. Their current project is a decision support system for agribusinesses based on machine learning to reduce risks and form recommendations at farm-level.

The company was featured in Ukraine’s first catalog of innovative solutions for agribusiness with their AGRO BI project. The catalog was initiated by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and supported by the USAID Agricultural and Rural Development Program, along with being included in Futurology’s 40 Most Innovative Ukraine Based Machine Learning Companies.

Horos.AI’s COO & founder, Kateryna Domchenko, has been posting about how the food scarcity and the halt of agriculture production in Ukraine – caused by the invasion – could affect other food security internationally.

Nataliya Limonova, founder, GIOS – Kyiv – raised $400K Aug 2021

GIOS is an interactive platform for remote and blended learning for maths, critical thinking, and a marketplace for tutors. GIOS helps children engage in the educational process. Their mission is to transform the educational system and become an affordable modern tool for teaching millions of schoolchildren around the world.

GIOS’ founder, Nataliya Limonova, has been active on social media, galvanizing support across the edtech industry and addressing the General Assembly of the World Business Angels Investment Forum, which brings together leaders of 20+ countries, to appeal to their governments and communities to support Ukraine with military and humanitarian aid.

Ann Polishchuk, CDO & co-founder, Allset – San Francisco – raised $8.25M in a Series B March 2020

Ukraine-founded Allset is a marketplace connecting restaurants and local diners. It provides restaurants with online ordering and contactless dining solutions to serve their customers commission-free. Customers use Allset to order ahead at nearby restaurants and coffee shops, to ensure everyday dining that is fast, easy, and healthy. Local diners support restaurants with commission-free orders for pickup, curbside, and dine-in.

Ann Polishchuk, the CDO & co-founder of Allset, called on international tech leaders on LinkedIn to join a collaborative movement dubbed, #BLOCKRUSSIA, to impose sanctions so “people affected by disinformation from the Russian government understand what’s truly going on and how the war started by Russia is going to leave citizens of this country isolated from the commodities of the modern world.”

Additionally, Allset has posted an oped on Medium to discuss how the invasion has affected its workforce and to call on other tech startups to show their support for Ukraine by providing aid or donations various humanitarian channels.
