R.I.P. the investment banking pitch book

Anyone who has worked in M&A at a bulge bracket investment bank for a while will have spent some of their blood, sweat and tears creating infamous pitch books. If you have ever seen a typical investment banking pitch book or worked on one, you will understand part of what we are building at Dealroom. Rich and insightful content is an important element of what we do, using a mix of crowd-sourced, user-generated and curated content.

Recently I wrote a post arguing that the death of proprietary deal-flow is greatly exaggerated. The end of the traditional investment banking pitch book however is another matter.
