At Dealroom we’re always looking for ways to improve the platform, and Q4 2022 was no exception. Here are some of the latest updates:
Now also the #1 globally
Dealroom has long been the recognised leader in European venture capital for a while (up to 25% more early-stage VC data than competitors in Europe). In the last year, we’ve quietly been on a mission to take that data leadership global. We’re glad to announce that in Q4, we achieved data superiority in the USA and the rest of the world too.
This makes Dealroom the go-to resource for tracking global venture capital data, including the USA.
Together with Dealroom Signal, this will make it even easier for our customers to discover promising companies that fit their startup sourcing criteria.
Ecosystem Benchmarking
This quarter we also launched our report on the next generation of tech ecosystems. Based on an analysis of over 201 tech ecosystems, this data-driven benchmark report can serve as a tool to help ecosystems understand and measure their maturity and preparedness for the future.
There are now 168 cities with at least one unicorn, compared to just 12 in 2010. The next years of entrepreneurship and innovation are set to be more distributed than ever. Moreover, a new area of innovation has begun and it will require tech ecosystems to effectively bring together capital, entrepreneurship, knowledge, frontier R&D, and science.
We looked at ecosystems through three lenses with different areas of focus: Trailblazers (raw scale), Science Hubs (innovation and density), and Rising Stars (growth and potential).
