STATION F ecosystem hits record €2B in 2026 funding

What's the deal? STATION FDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → unveiled its 2026 Future 40 cohort as startups across its wider Paris campus ecosystem raised a record €2 billion this year. That surpasses the more than €1.5 billion raised in 2025. Major alumni rounds from Multiverse Computing (€500 million) and Alan (€480 million) drove the total.

What's the endgame? Founded by Xavier Niel in 2017, the 50,000m² campus supports more than 1,000 startups annually across 40 programmes. Around 9,000 startups have passed through since launch, with founders from 60 nationalities on campus.

About the cohort: The eighth Future 40 edition spans AI, deeptech, developer infrastructure, robotics, and climate tech, with sovereign AI and physical AI emerging as themes. The 40 companies, selected from more than 1,000 startups, have raised €110 million to date. Notable rounds include Arlequin AIDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (€28 million), CURA ($10 million), CleavrDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (€8 million), and LemrockDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (€7 million).

Six companies in the new cohort passed through Y Combinator before returning to France, reflecting founders' growing willingness to build global businesses in Europe after time in Silicon Valley.

Why bootstrap? Five companies in this year's cohort are bootstrapped. Camille Aubery, an investor at STATION F, links this to a tighter funding climate and founders' desire to keep control. AI tools also help small teams do more: Oguste reached €400,000 in annual recurring revenue in under a year while bootstrapped.

Who's building? STATION F is seeing growing interest in robotics and hardware that pairs physical products with AI, including Bleu Robotics, Allude, and AICE. Founders are also more technically specialised. "In this year's Future 40, 47 per cent of the teams have at least one PhD, while 75 per cent are repeat founders," Aubery said.

The signal: Across all eight editions, Future 40 companies have collectively raised €1.2 billion. The record haul and the pull of YC alumni back to Paris point to a maturing European ecosystem, where founders increasingly build globally without leaving home.
