What's the deal? Sweden's NetelDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and InfreaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → have completed a merger to form Netelinfra, a Northern European infrastructure services group with pro forma 2025 revenue of about US$604.4M (roughly $530 million). The combined company, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, launched on November 4, 2026.
What's the endgame? Netelinfra operates across Sweden, Norway, and Germany, with more than 1,200 employees organised into four segments: Paving, Infra, Power, and Telecom. Its services span the value chain, from planning and design to construction and maintenance.
Why now? The companies point to rising infrastructure maintenance needs, electrification, digitalisation, and a changing security environment as drivers of investment. Customers are also demanding broader geographical coverage and integrated offerings.
The merger gives Netelinfra a wider customer and project portfolio across public and private clients, including municipalities, energy companies, the defence sector, and telecom network owners. Long-standing framework agreements add stability, while the expanded footprint strengthens its competitive position.
"Together, we have greater capacity to meet our customers' needs while continuing to build on what has made each business successful," said Martin Reinholdsson, chief executive officer of Netelinfra.
Chairman Alireza Etemad framed the deal as "a natural next step in our long-term strategy to build a strong player in critical infrastructure," citing the combined geographical presence, specialist expertise, and financial strength.
The signal: By pooling resources, two listed infrastructure contractors are betting that scale and geographical reach will win out as Europe ramps up spending on power, telecom, and transport networks.
