What's the endgame? Advancing Analytics will deepen its work with Databricks across engineering and go-to-market efforts, focusing on products such as Genie and Lakebase, Databricks' Postgres database for AI apps and agents. The company holds Gold Status on the Databricks Brickbuilder Partner Network with six specialisations, a designation held by only a handful of consultancies globally.

Why it matters: "Databricks Ventures' investment is a significant vote of confidence in the platform, the frameworks and the people we've spent years building," said Terry McCann, chief executive officer of Advancing Analytics.

The signal: The round lands as companies in financial services, insurance and consumer industries migrate from legacy data warehouses towards unified platforms. Databricks' latest State of Data AI report found an 11x year-on-year rise in AI model deployments, with roughly 70% of companies exploring generative AI. That shift is fuelling demand for partners who can turn data strategy into working systems.
