Data Science Wizards raises $5M pre-Series A

What's the deal? Mumbai-based Data Science WizardsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (DSW) has raised $5 million from angel investors. The enterprise tech startup will use the funds to expand its North American operations and scale adoption of its AI platform, UnifyAI OS.

Why now? Large organisations are racing to deploy AI, but doing so securely — with governance, compliance, and control — remains a major hurdle.

DSW pitches UnifyAI OS as a unified layer to build, deploy, govern, and monitor AI and agentic AI. It currently serves banking, financial services, insurance, and public-sector clients.

The round follows a $1.4 million seed raise in October 2024, at a $16.4 million valuation.

Beyond North America, DSW plans to strengthen its engineering and customer success teams, and deepen strategic partnerships.

What could go wrong? The field is crowded. DSW competes with heavyweights including Palantir, Dataiku, DataRobot, H2O.ai, C3 AI, and SAS ViyaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.

Breaking into North America against entrenched players — on a $5 million cheque — is a tall order.

The signal: The pre-Series A cheque tripled DSW's disclosed backing in barely a year after its October 2024 seed round, and the founder-heavy team — four co-founders since 2019 — is betting angel money can carry a now breakout-stage company into North America's crowded enterprise AI market.
