A2 Biotherapeutics raises $80M in Series C funding

On May 22, A2 Biotherapeutics, a clinical-stage cell therapy company based in Agoura Hills, California, announced it has raised $80 million in a Series C funding round. A2 Bio is developing Tmod™, a precision-targeting cell therapy platform designed to distinguish between tumor and healthy cells. The new funding will support the ongoing development of its CAR-T pipeline, including two Phase 1/2 trials currently underway: EVEREST-1 (targeting CEA-positive tumors) and EVEREST-2 (targeting MSLN-positive tumors), both aimed at treating solid tumors.

Founded in 2018, A2 Biotherapeutics continues to advance logic-gated cell therapies with the goal of addressing unmet needs in cancer treatment.
