BADideas.fund: Fueling Bold Startups in the Baltics and CEE

BADideas.fund is an early-stage investment community and fund focused on startups from the Baltics and Central and Eastern Europe with global ambitions.

Founded in 2022 and launched at TechChill that year, it operates as both an angel syndicate and a €22 million fund (raised on an oversubscribed basis), typically investing €50,000 to €200,000 at pre-seed and seed stage, with follow-on rounds up to €1.5 million. Initial funding through the fund vehicle ranges from €300,000 to €500,000.

The fund's network has grown to over 250 experienced founders and operators from more than 20 countries, including alumni of companies such as Vimeo, Pipedrive, Bolt, Shopify, and Vinted, providing portfolio startups with hands-on support and strategic guidance.

Since launching, BADideas.fund has invested over €3.8M across more than 35 early-stage startups — mainly in B2B, marketplace, and enterprise SaaS sectors — with a focus on founders from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Slovakia, and beyond. The fund's track record includes a successful exit with RoomPriceGenie, valued at approximately €75M.

Beyond investing, BADideas.fund has expanded its community activities: it runs a Fundraising School, a free bootcamp for early-stage CEE founders focused on investor readiness, with alumni having raised over €5.2M. Complementing its investment activities, BADideas.fund produces a podcast featuring conversations with founders, operators, and investors from across the region.
