China's Microfeel raises $4.49M seed to build AI-generated 3D game worlds

What's the deal? MicrofeelDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Nanjing-based startup building a multimodal spatial-reasoning model for AI-generated 3D scenes, has raised tens of millions of yuan ($4.49 million) in a seed round. Investors include accelerator MiraclePlusDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, tech media firm GeekPark, Magic Find Ventures and former Perfect WorldDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → executive Xu Yiran.

What's the endgame? Founded in August 2023 by Zhong Ximing and Yu Fujia, the company is building what it calls AI-native interactive worlds. Its model turns text or image prompts into controllable 3D scenes, assets, and non-player characters.

What's the money for? The funding will support three efforts: continued development of its AI-native PC game EchoShell , upgrades to its self-built Creation Engine for developers, and a training system to help AI characters learn and iterate.

Why now? AI-generated 3D is shifting from asset tools toward full interactive game worlds. Tencent has expanded its Hunyuan 3D work for game development, and fellow Chinese startup AISphereDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → raised a larger Series C to build real-time, AI-generated game experiences.

What could go wrong? The round is early and thin on detail, with no disclosed product traction or technical benchmarks. Larger, better-funded 3D-generation platforms such as VAST and Meshy already command established user bases, raising the bar for differentiation.

The signal: The bet is that spatial-reasoning technology can produce usable, controllable worlds rather than just attractive 3D assets. For now, that remains a promise — one investors are funding ahead of proof.
