Indy buys payroll startup Fiche-Paie.net to expand its all-in-one platform

What's the deal? French fintech Indy has acquired Fiche-Paie.netDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an online payroll software provider, for an undisclosed sum. The move lets Indy — which simplifies accounting, business banking, and invoicing for freelancers — add payroll to its platform.

What's the endgame? Indy will use Fiche-Paie.net's technology to speed up its own payroll product, due by summer 2027. The goal: cover two needs for entrepreneurs — paying themselves as directors and managing payroll for their first employees.

Why now? Payroll is a major friction point for small structures, where paying a director or hiring a first employee means stacking administrative tasks. "Payroll is a real headache, especially when it comes to the first hire," said Côme Fouques, chief executive officer and co-founder of Indy (translated from French). Existing market options are often complex, costly, and poorly suited to small firms.

Who's the target? Founded in 2016 by Nantes-based DOTNETDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Fiche-Paie.net has more than 15,000 active paying clients and generates 250,000 payslips a year. It is known for its simplicity, low prices, and compliance, handling over 1,000 collective agreements and automated DSN filing.

What changes? Fiche-Paie.net keeps operating under its own brand and retains its full Nantes team, with all features still available to current and future clients. Indy aims to double the company's revenue and profitability within two years.

The signal: The deal marks a strategic step up for Indy, which — launched in 2016 — wants to bundle administrative, accounting, and financial services on a single platform to support businesses as they grow.
