What's the deal? Zeta Global (NYSE: ZETA) has agreed to acquire SensoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Y Combinator-backed AI engineering company whose technology already powers Zeta's Generative Engine Optimization offering. The deal, announced on October 5, 2026, brings the technology in-house, adds AI engineering talent, and deepens Zeta's connectivity to frontier models. Terms were not disclosed.
What's the endgame? Zeta wants to help enterprises optimise how brands appear across AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Gemini, ClaudeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and Google AI Overviews. Combined with the Zeta Data Cloud, Senso will identify who AI-generated answers reach and tie those insights to marketing and business outcomes.
Why now? AI assistants are becoming a key gateway for customer discovery. "AI discovery is becoming an increasingly important part of the customer journey, but visibility alone is not enough," said Saroop Bharwani, Senso's co-founder and chief executive officer.
Who's joining? Bharwani and the Senso team will join Zeta. He founded Senso as an AI research lab and brings more than 20 years working with regulated enterprises. Zeta said it will work with the team to provide continuity for customers.
Chief executive officer David A. Steinberg framed the rationale around infrastructure, not models. "Models are increasingly ubiquitous, but what creates an advantage is the infrastructure that connects an enterprise's data and context to those models, turns the result into action, and turns action into business impact," he said.

The signal: As customers increasingly find brands through AI assistants rather than search engines, marketing infrastructure providers are racing to own the layer between enterprise data and the models shaping discovery. Zeta's bet is that connectivity — not the models themselves — is where the advantage lies.
