Germany's AMERIA raises €10M more, hitting €60M via angel network

What's the deal? Heidelberg-based deep tech company AMERIA has raised more than €10 million through the business angel network CompanistoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which led the round. The financing closed on September 18, 2026, and brings AMERIA's total capital raised across multiple rounds to €60 million.

What's the endgame? AMERIA, founded in 2018, builds technology for human-machine interaction, letting users control digital content through gestures and voice. The new capital goes toward human-machine interaction technologies and local AI applications. The company says it holds 87 patents and patent applications.

Why now? The round marks a commercial milestone: AMERIA says SonyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has marketed a jointly developed interactive 3D display worldwide since February 2026. Chief executive officer Albrecht Metter views the Sony partnership as a major step, which long-term financing through the investor network helped enable.

How it's funded: Rather than relying on institutional venture capital, AMERIA has used Companisto's angel network for several years. More than 4,000 private investors have now backed the company. Companisto calls it the largest deep tech development funded through a business angel network in the German-speaking world, though the press release offers no independent verification of that claim.

The signal: This round was Companisto's first to apply the EU prospectus threshold raised in June 2026 — a sign that crowd-based financing is scaling into territory once reserved for traditional venture rounds.
