Hexaware names Vivek Jetley CEO, approves $1M Mauritius subsidiary

What's the deal? Hexaware TechnologiesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has appointed Vivek Jetley as its new chief executive officer, succeeding R Srikrishna, its board decided on October 28, 2026. The same meeting approved up to $1 million to incorporate a wholly-owned subsidiary in Mauritius.

What else changed? Senior management personnel Girish Pai will resign effective November 13, 2026. The board also appointed Arjun Shah and Gregory Michael Zeluck as non-executive additional directors, pending shareholder approval, while non-executive directors Neeraj Bharadwaj and Julius Genachowski stepped down, citing other commitments.

What does Hexaware do? It is an India-based IT services company serving clients globally, with delivery centres outside its home market. The board approved financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, at the same session.

Why the Mauritius move? The subsidiary is part of what the company calls a broader entity rationalisation strategy, with the investment to be funded in one or more tranches as it builds operations outside India. The step sits alongside other restructuring, including a slump sale of Tech SMC Square India and the voluntary liquidation of Netherlands-based Mobiquity BV.

The bigger footprint: The Mauritius entity follows a wider international push. Hexaware opened a Cairo delivery centre in December 2025 and announced a £25 million UK expansion in June 2026, expected to create about 1,200 jobs including new research centres.

What could go wrong? Against those commitments, the $1 million approval is modest and, on its own, signals neither a major hiring drive nor a material change in scale. What the Mauritius entity will actually do remains unclear, making the move hard to read.

The signal: The news is less about the small Mauritius outlay than the leadership handover at the top. A new chief executive paired with structural cleanup — mergers, a sale, and a liquidation — points to a company tidying its organisation as it leans further into markets beyond India.
