Kredete acquires Gravv, a stablecoin rail processing $3B a year
What's the deal? Kredete, a fintech platform serving emerging-market and diaspora communities, has acquired GravvDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an agentic stablecoin infrastructure platform. The deal was announced in September 2026; terms were not disclosed.
What each side brings: Gravv connects banks, blockchain networks, and local payment rails for real-time global money movement, processing more than $3 billion in annualised volume for over 1,000 businesses across 100-plus countries, backed by seven global banking partners.
Kredete, founded in 2022 by Adeola Adedewe, runs a platform that lets consumers, businesses, and institutions move, convert, hold, and settle money globally. It says users can send money to over 60 countries, with each transaction contributing to a credit score in their country of residence.
The strategic rationale: The acquisition brings Kredete's money movement infrastructure in-house, giving it control over stablecoin settlement, multi-currency accounts, FX, liquidity, routing, and reconciliation. Gravv's agentic layer is designed to monitor liquidity, select routes, manage settlement, and reconcile payments in real time.
What changes for the market? Since the deal, Kredete has opened Gravv beyond its existing base, inviting any bank, fintech, platform, or developer serving emerging markets to build on its rails.
"Infrastructure is the moat, and intelligence is the operating layer," said Adedewe, chief executive officer of Kredete. "Together, we are building the autonomous middleware for the global money movement."
Why now? Kredete is betting on a shift toward machine-initiated commerce. "We believe the next trillion dollars in commerce will be initiated and processed by AI agents," said Ebuka Arinze, chief product officer, framing the deal as building the infrastructure agents will need to transact.
The signal: The deal reflects a broader push to consolidate fragmented cross-border payment rails into single infrastructure layers, with stablecoins as the settlement backbone. By pairing those rails with agentic automation, Kredete is positioning for a market where software, not just people, moves money across borders.
