What's the endgame? DASH wants to make "table-grade" the standard for fresh dog food, positioning it above the "human-grade" label rivals lean on. That means grass-fed beef and organic chicken cooked in small batches, with sourcing standards published rather than implied.
Where the money goes: DASH will expand paid acquisition, scale its subscription growth model, and fund recipe research. It plans to add seafood and turkey to a lineup that has been beef and chicken since launch, with roughly 10% of the round going to research and development.
Why now? DASH separated from ButcherBox in June 2025 and dropped its dry food line to focus entirely on fresh-frozen after a rebrand this year. Revenue has grown 130% since the split.
What the founder says: "Plenty of our customers were already cooking for their dogs," said founder and chief executive officer Bobby Quirk. "We take that time and work off their plates by doing the sourcing, nutrition balancing, and batch cooking for them."
