dtcpay closes $25M Series A as SBI Group joins stablecoin payments push

What's the deal? Singapore-based dtcpay has completed US$16.2M Series A round, led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India, with Japan's SBI GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → joining as a strategic investor. Founded by Alice Liu and Band Zhao, dtcpay builds infrastructure that lets businesses and individuals accept, store, and transact in stablecoins.

Who else is in? Vertex led the round in April 2026. SBI Group invested through its subsidiary SBI Ventures Asset Pte Ltd and the SBI-NTU-Kyobo Digital Innovation Fund. Genedant Capital and existing backer Kwee Liong Tek, a Singaporean business leader, also took part.

What's the endgame? dtcpay wants to make stablecoins as accessible as traditional financial services. Its real-time swap engine settles transactions across stablecoin and fiat currencies, undercutting the multi-day cycles and layered fees of SWIFT and correspondent banking.

Traction so far. The company launched a point-of-sale solution for merchants, integrated with WalletConnectDealroom has a profile for this one. What's the money for? dtcpay plans to scale its product suite and merchant network through the rest of 2026, including a revamped business portal for enterprise clients and new consumer features in its app.

Why it holds up. dtcpay is a MAS-licensed Major Payment Institution in Singapore and holds an Electronic Money Institution license in Luxembourg, giving it a regulatory base across Singapore and Europe.

The signal: At $25 million, the round sits in the top 10% of all Series A deals raised by Singapore companies. It reflects growing institutional appetite for stablecoin infrastructure that bridges digital assets and traditional finance.
