Key findings

• Deep tech took 60% of all VC funding in Switzerland between 2019 and 2025, the highest share of any country measured, ahead of Israel on 49%.
• Deep tech VC funding in Swiss startups grew 6x in a decade, from $306.1M in 2014 to $1.9B in 2024.
• Private Swiss deep tech startups are now worth $58B combined, up from $3B a decade earlier.
• AI/ML made up 23% of Swiss deep tech companies founded in 2021-2025, up from 12% in 2010-2020, the biggest share gain of any segment.
• Swiss investors supplied 32% of deep tech capital in rounds below $15M in 2023-2025 but just 4% in rounds above $100M, where US funds led with 46%.
