Prosper Health raises $10M to serve a fast-growing autism market
What's the deal? Prosper Health, a virtual behavioural health provider for adults with autism, has raised about $10 million in an early-stage equity round backed by Maverick Ventures. The Weston, Florida-based company sold equity to six accredited investors on August 28, according to a public filing that states it sold all it was offering.
What's the endgame? Founded in 2023, Prosper Health offers virtual adult autism diagnostic assessments and outpatient talk therapy for people diagnosed later in life. It also treats other neurodivergences such as ADHD, but does not work with pediatric patients or accept Medicare or Medicaid.
Why now? The company targets a market it says traditional providers overlook. Between 2011 and 2022, adults aged 26 to 34 were the fastest-growing group receiving autism diagnoses, a 452% increase, according to medical records; adults aged 35 to 44 saw a 338% rise.

Chief executive officer Benjamin Schecter leads the company. Its leadership declined to comment.
The signal: Most autism therapy focuses on early intervention and pediatric care, leaving many therapists unprepared for late-life diagnoses. Prosper Health's all-virtual, adult-focused model is a bet that a rising wave of adult diagnoses will need services the industry has yet to build out at scale.
