Jack & Jill raises £30M Series A for AI hiring agents

What's the deal? London-based startup Jack & Jill has raised a £30m Series A led by Air Street Capital. The company, founded last year, builds two conversational AI agents designed to streamline the hiring process.

The details: Jack & Jill allotted shares worth £30m in early August, according to the startup's financial records. Separate filings suggest the round was in part a secondary transaction, with existing shareholders selling to new investors.

Air Street founder Nathan Benaich joined Jack & Jill's board at the end of July, alongside Creandum investor Peter Specht. A source familiar with the deal confirmed Air Street led the round.

The investors: Air Street announced a $242m new fund in March, with other bets including AI video platform Synthesia, multimodal startup Black Forest Labs, and drone maker Stark. Creandum led Jack & Jill's $20m seed in October last year, joined by Dig Ventures, Entrepreneurs First, Ada Ventures, and 75 angel investors from Lovable, Anthropic, and Elevenlabs.

Why now? Investor appetite for AI-native HR tools keeps rising. European companies in the sector have raised a collective €217m so far this year, topping the €208m raised in all of 2025, per Sifted data.

Bold moves: Jack & Jill is known for aggressive tactics to secure AI engineering talent. It raised its minimum engineering salary to £360k last month, and last year cofounder and chief technology officer Saaras Mehan put out a call for acquihires — buying companies purely for their talent.

The signal: A young startup landing a £30m round on top of a $20m seed marks how fast capital is flowing into AI hiring tools — even as questions linger over how these agents reshape recruitment.
