AI agent security startup AIR raises $50M seed, lands on Fortune Cyber 60

What's the deal? AIRDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Tel Aviv-based startup securing enterprise AI agents, was named to Fortune's 2026–2027 Cyber 60 list after raising $50 million across two seed rounds. Sequoia led a $10 million round and Greenoaks led a $40 million round.

What does it build? AIR sells a security layer for AI agents and the ecosystem of add-ons that extend them — skills, plugins, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. The platform continuously vets those components, enforces policies at runtime, and offers a marketplace of pre-vetted add-ons.

Why now? Enterprises adopting AI agents are inheriting fresh risk from the tools those agents access, which can change over time. AIR frames the problem as a supply chain issue rather than one of model access or prompt filtering.

"Approving an AI add-on once isn't enough," said Yair Saban, co-founder and chief executive officer of AIR. "Organizations need to know what their agents are using, whether those components remain trustworthy, and when to revoke access."

About the list. Fortune produced the Cyber 60 with Lightspeed Venture Partners and AWSDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, recognizing 60 venture-backed cybersecurity startups across three stages of growth. AIR emerged from stealth in September.

What could go wrong? List inclusion is third-party validation, not proof of commercial traction. The open question is whether AIR can convert investor interest into enterprise adoption in a crowded, fast-moving market.

The signal: A $50 million seed is unusually large for a cybersecurity startup, and it reflects where capital is flowing.
