Bull raises R$20M seed to build AI into its credit platform
What's the deal? Brazilian fintech BullDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised R$20 million (about $3.9 million) in a seed round led by MayaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Caravela, with participation from Canary. The company runs a credit-as-a-service platform that lets businesses launch and operate their own credit products.
Why now? The round arrives less than a year after Bull's first institutional raise — a R$10 million pre-seed led by Canary in October 2025. Chief operating officer José Pires Neto said the goal was to avoid a future cash crunch: "It's capital to keep growing without hitting a bottleneck. We're not going to raise money only when we run out."
Where's the money going? Bull will strengthen its platform through investments in artificial intelligence, data infrastructure, and cybersecurity. "We want to bring in the cybersecurity intelligence layer and implement AI in the core of the product," Pires Neto said. Part of the capital will also fund brand awareness, go-to-market efforts, and a larger commercial and marketing team.
What's the endgame? Founded in 2025 by Juliana Freitas and Pires Neto, Bull started with private payroll-deducted credit but was built to support multiple credit products. The company now serves more than 20 medium-to-large clients and aims to reach R$1 billion in operations by the end of 2026.
Who's behind it? The founders are second-time entrepreneurs. Before Bull, they led FortBrasilDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which reached 2 million clients and moved R$20 billion in credit before being acquired by DM in 2023.
The signal: Bull's quick return to market — with much of its pre-seed still in the bank, according to Pires Neto — reflects a strategy of raising ahead of need to fund expansion. As credit-as-a-service platforms lean on AI for decisioning and security, the company is positioning to move beyond its first product into a multi-line credit business.
