Why now? The round lands eight months after the two-year-old startup raised $80 million at a $1.3 billion valuation. Founded by former Snap executive Alex MashrabovDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the platform launched in 2025 and has drawn more than 30 million users across 238 countries and territories, with the US its largest market.
By the numbers: Higgsfield reached $700 million in annualised revenue in August, up from $20 million about a year earlier. Its $400 million raise ranks in the top 1% of late-stage technology rounds in its market, all-time.
What's the endgame? The company is pushing upmarket toward corporate subscriptions. "Today, most of our revenue comes from businesses, which is a significant change from January, when business customers accounted for less than 25 per cent of revenue," Mashrabov told the FT.
Where it's headed: Since May, brands including Dollar Shave Club have built AI-driven marketing systems using Higgsfield to produce multiple videos a day rather than a single campaign asset. The company says social media teams are using the tools to keep pace with content turnover while cutting reliance on creative agencies.
The funding will go toward enterprise products, security, and computing power. "Compute is scarce and the funding will enable us to make substantial compute reservations so that we can offer a best-in-class service," Mashrabov said. Goldman is investing through its Equity Growth fund.
The signal: Higgsfield sits where social media marketing, entertainment, and the creator economy meet. Goldman Sachs estimates the global creator economy could grow from $250 billion in 2023 to $480 billion by 2027, while digital advertising spending is forecast to reach $1.1 trillion by 2030 — a market Higgsfield is betting AI-made video can reshape.
