LB Pharmaceuticals raises $150M to push lead drug into new indications
LB Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: LBRX) has agreed to a $150 million private placement, selling 3,577,560 common shares plus pre-funded warrants for up to 715,513 additional shares at $34.94 per share. The financing is expected to close on or about July 30, 2026, subject to customary conditions.
The round drew a deep bench of institutional investors, including Adage Capital Partners, BB Biotech, Caligan Partners, Commodore Capital, Deep Track Capital, Farallon Capital Management, Integral Health Asset Management, Janus Henderson Investors, Spruce Street Capital, and StemPoint Capital.
Net proceeds will fund the expansion of lead candidate LB-102 into new indications, plus working capital and general corporate purposes. The securities are unregistered; LB Pharmaceuticals agreed to file a registration statement to cover resale of the shares.
At $150 million, the raise sits in the 95th percentile of all US health-sector non-VC private placements, based on a sample of 231 rounds — putting it among the largest deals of its kind.
The deal is signed but not yet closed and remains subject to customary closing conditions. The newly issued shares and warrants are unregistered until a resale registration statement takes effect.
