Leipzig's MAIA, which builds AI software for industrial product development, raised €4 million from TGFS Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen and SBG.

The signal: Germany's deal flow spans defence tech, applied AI, and consolidation of legacy platforms — a mix that shows capital chasing both strategic sovereignty plays and workflow automation as strategic buyers like FairCap pick off assets from larger owners.
