Rep AI raises $6.2M follow-on round led by Silicon Road Ventures
What's the deal? Rep AI, an AI platform for e-commerce brands and online retailers, has raised $6.2 million in strategic follow-on funding. Silicon Road Ventures led the round, with participation from Osage Venture PartnersDealroom has a profile for this one. The New York and Tel Aviv-based company will use the capital to accelerate product development, expand its market reach, and support enterprise growth. Rep AI's platform helps brands unify customer engagement across the full shopping journey — from identifying shopper intent before purchase to streamlining post-purchase support.
Why now? This raise marks the second tranche of Rep AI's funding in roughly 20 months, following an $8.2 million Series A announced in August 2024. That brings total recent funding to $14.4 million.
The timing reflects a broader shift in enterprise AI adoption. According to McKinsey's 2025 State of AI report, 78% of organisations now use AI in at least one business function. Yet many still struggle with siloed AI systems and fragmented implementations — creating demand for unified platforms like Rep AI's.
"E-commerce brands are increasingly overwhelmed by disconnected technology stacks that create operational silos and missed revenue opportunities," said Yoav Oz, co-founder and chief executive officer of Rep AI.
What could go wrong? The e-commerce AI space is crowded and fast-moving. Rep AI's pitch — replacing fragmented point solutions with a single platform — is compelling but demands flawless execution across multiple functions. Competing against both established players and well-funded startups while scaling across enterprise clients is no small task.
There's also the broader risk that enterprise buyers, burned by overpromised AI tools, grow cautious about adopting yet another platform.
The signal: Zendesk's involvement as a corporate investor — rather than a traditional VC fund — underscores a growing pattern of incumbent customer experience platforms placing strategic bets on e-commerce AI infrastructure. With 78% of organisations now deploying AI operationally, the competitive advantage is shifting from adopting AI tools to consolidating them, and corporates like Zendesk are positioning themselves alongside that transition rather than building it all in-house.
