Undae Science raises $1.41M seed to finish industrialising sleep platform

What's the deal? Swiss startup Undae ScienceDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised US$1.05M in part of its seed round, closed this autumn through a private campaign on crowdfunding platform OomniumDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The round drew 41 retail investors and business angels.

What's the endgame? Undae Science, founded by neuroscientist Shanaz Diessler, makes a sleep-intelligence platform called Noctae. A sensor mat placed on the mattress records sleep at home over several nights, replacing a single night in a sleep lab, then analyses hundreds of physiological signals to flag the true severity of sleep disorders for treating doctors. The new capital will fund the final stage of industrialisation.

Why now? The company has already secured backing from Switzerland's five largest sleep centres, which together handle roughly two-thirds of national sleep consultations, plus 12 letters of intent.

By the numbers: The round is a modest sum — it sits at about the 30th percentile for comparable deals. That fits a market where early-stage money has held up: Swiss seed capital rose 68.8% to 156 million francs in the first half of 2026, even as total venture volume fell 15.5% year on year.

The signal: Undae's raise was one of three recent Swiss crowdfunding rounds — alongside health platform CARE.health and plant-based cheesemaker New RootsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → — all raising to fund a next concrete step toward market readiness rather than riding an investment boom. The common thread is broad backing from small investors and angels: New Roots alone drew nearly 900 supporters.
