Greek cybersecurity firm Census opens Vilnius hub for Baltic, Nordic push

What's the deal? Greek cybersecurity engineering firm CensusDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has opened a unit in Vilnius, Census Labs LT, its first dedicated presence in Northern Europe. It becomes the company's sixth office worldwide, joining locations in the US, UK, Greece, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi.

What does Census do? The firm offers cybersecurity engineering, vulnerability research, and tiger team services, alongside products such as its Cryptellum and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) tools. Its international team numbers roughly 130 people.

What's the endgame? Vilnius is positioned as a gateway to the Baltic, Nordic, and wider European markets. The unit is already delivering projects for clients across the Baltics, so the launch formalises an active regional foothold rather than a prospective office.

Why now? Lithuania is putting cybersecurity alongside national defence priorities, with a 2026 defence budget of €4.79 billion, or 5.38% of GDP. The country is also preparing a phased shift to post-quantum cryptography, matching Census's product focus.

The signal: For Census, Vilnius offers local engineering talent and a base to chase security work across the Baltics and Nordics. The targeted expansion reflects how smaller European security firms are planting hubs in markets where state spending on defence and cyber resilience is climbing.
