What does Tiiny AI do? Founded in January 2025, it optimises large language models to run on-device. Its first product, Tiiny AI Pocket, is a portable hardware device that uses local computing power to build a cross-device system users control themselves.

How big is this round? Measured against all seed rounds in enterprise software out of Singapore, the $30 million raise ranks in the top 1% — the largest in a sample of 401 comparable deals.

Why now? The round comes less than three months after Tiiny AI announced a previous financing. Its Pocket device has shipped, and the company says its waitlist has reached nearly 50,000 people without any paid advertising. Users pay roughly $2,000 for the combined hardware-software product.

What's the endgame? Tiiny AI is betting that users want a local layer of always-on "Personal Agent" infrastructure that keeps personal data and routine tasks on their own devices, while cloud models still handle heavy reasoning. Its earlier Tiiny AI Pocket campaign raised more than $3 million on Kickstarter.

What could go wrong? Raising money proves investor appetite, not product demand. Repeat purchases, real delivery at scale, and clear differentiation from phones and laptops remain untested.

The signal: Capital keeps flowing into personal AI hardware and agent systems. Edge-AI firms Violoop and CyboPal both drew funding in recent months, and Tiiny AI's raise adds to a sector betting that AI will live close to the user, not only in the cloud.
