Axies Ventures lands on AIM with £1.34 million copper float

What's the deal? Axies VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a copper and gold explorer focused on Cyprus and Canada, began trading on London's AIM market on Wednesday after an IPO that raised about £1.34 million ($1.8 million) in gross proceeds. The company was admitted at 10.5 pence per share, giving it a market capitalisation of £9.41 million under the ticker AXV.

The fine print: The placing of 7.5 million shares and subscription for 5.3 million shares at 10.5 pence each produced the raise, though Axies expects net proceeds of only about £760,000. Some 89.6 million ordinary shares are in issue following admission.

What's the endgame? The flagship Kokkinoantonis Complex in Cyprus returned an intersection of 137m at 0.34% copper in 2025, including around 72m at 0.50% copper. In Ontario, Axies holds four exploration projects, among them Endikai Lake, where samples have returned copper grades of up to 6.44%.

Executive director Mike Whitlow called the listing "an important milestone for Axies Ventures as we seek to unlock the potential of our copper- and gold-focused portfolio in Cyprus and Canada."

What could go wrong? The shares slipped below their issue price on day one, trading down 2.4% at 10.25 pence on Wednesday afternoon. The modest net proceeds buy a public-market foothold rather than funding for a major development step.

The signal: The float lands as London's natural-resources IPO market shows tentative renewed activity after a weak 2025, with comparables including Halo MineralsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →' £4 million AIM IPO and Serval Resources' £3 million listing. Even against those small raises, Axies' debut is modest — a sign of how limited the funding available to early-stage explorers remains.
