What's the endgame? Founded in 2021 by four Unit 8200 and tech veterans, including chief executive officer Yoav Regev, Sentra builds a platform that identifies sensitive data, tracks who or what can access it, and blocks exposure. Its focus: securing information before an AI agent reaches it, rather than vetting every request in real time.

Why now? Businesses are deploying autonomous AI agents at scale — some now run thousands or tens of thousands, Sentra says. Many lack visibility into what those agents can access or control over their permissions, often granting privileges broader than needed.

The problem grows as corporate data spreads across cloud, software-as-a-service, and on-premises systems that traditional tools struggle to monitor.

What could go wrong? "As AI agents become increasingly common in organizations, there is growing concern that they could access data they were never authorized to see," Regev said. He warned this creates risks of breaches and leaks "without any external attacker having to take action."

The signal: At $150 million, Sentra's raise ranks in the 95th percentile of Series C rounds among Israeli enterprise software startups, underscoring investor appetite for tools that police the new wave of autonomous AI inside the enterprise.
