Crescent prices $407M CLO, its second new issue of 2026
What's the deal? Crescent Capital GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has priced Atlas Senior Loan Fund XXVIII, a $406.9 million new-issue collateralised loan obligation, on October 29, 2026. The transaction drew 20 distinct investors and will invest mainly in US senior secured term loans, plus select senior secured corporate bonds.
What's the endgame? Atlas 28 is Crescent's second new-issue CLO of 2026 and the fourth issued through its CLO Equity Fund II, which closed in August. The firm has issued and managed just under $20 billion in CLOs since 1992.
Why now? Crescent framed the deal as a chance to buy at a discount. "Volatility in the leveraged loan market provided opportunities for our experienced team to selectively acquire assets at attractive prices," said Nilesh Mandhare, managing director and head of CLO issuance.
Mandhare also pointed to investor demand, thanking "longstanding investors" and welcoming "several new investors to the platform through this transaction."
Crescent is a global credit investment manager with $53 billion of assets under management as of September 30, 2026. Headquartered in Los Angeles, it is part of GreenOak, the investment platform owned by Sun LifeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, with offices in New York, Boston, Chicago, London, and Frankfurt.
The signal: A 30-year track record and repeat issuance underline how established managers are leaning into choppy loan markets. For Crescent, a second 2026 CLO signals steady appetite for US senior secured credit despite the volatility it cites.
