Crediflow AI raises £1.5M to turn loan underwriting into minutes
What's the deal? Manchester-based fintech Crediflow AIDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised £1.5 million ($2 million) to automate the paperwork behind business lending. PXN VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → led the round through the Northern Powerhouse Investment FundDealroom has a profile for this one. What's the endgame? Credit teams spend hours gathering financial statements, reviewing bank transactions, and preparing reports for lending committees. Crediflow's AI platform collects borrower documents, standardises financial data, analyses cash flow, and drafts credit memos in each lender's own format. The company says tasks that once took days now take 10 to 30 minutes.
Founder Drey Kenfack, a commercial lending veteran who held senior credit roles at Ford Credit Bank and DF Capital Bank, built the tool to fix a problem he lived with. "When every transaction requires hours of manual preparation, it affects how much business a lender can take on and which deals are worth pursuing," he said.
What's the catch? Crediflow does not make lending decisions or replace underwriters — it prepares the analysis they rely on. Hundreds of credit professionals across the UK, Europe, and the US already use the platform, including specialist lenders such as AddWorking Capital and finance providers such as Iveco Capital.
What's the money for? Crediflow will develop its platform, hire engineers and product specialists, and extend automation beyond underwriting into loan origination and ongoing monitoring. The round follows early backing through PXN's PraeSeed programme, supported by the British Business Bank.
The raise builds on a steady run of product launches. Crediflow released a financial-spreading tool in June and, in October, a credit-memo generator that fills lenders' own templates with supporting tables, charts, and source traceability.
The signal: AI-assisted lending is shifting from pilot claims to specific workflow tools, with rivals like NivoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and even Deutsche BankDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → pursuing similar efficiencies. Crediflow's £1.5 million is a modest early-stage bet in a crowded market; its payoff hinges on lender adoption and whether "minutes, not days" holds up beyond the company's own claims.
