Precision-health startup Aden launches in the UAE on $2 million seed
What's the deal? AdenDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a precision-health startup founded in 2025 by chief executive officer Sarah Cronin, has launched an annual membership in the United Arab Emirates backed by $2 million in seed funding. The service pairs at-home blood testing with personalised protocols and repeat biomarker checks to track a member's biology over time.
How it works: Aden's first test measures more than 125 biomarkers across cardiovascular, metabolic, hormonal, thyroid, and immune function, with samples collected at home by a healthcare professional and results typically available within 48 hours. The platform groups related biomarkers, offering plain-language explanations, biological age estimates, and an Aden Score, plus a personalised protocol covering nutrition, lifestyle, and supplementation.
Why now? Aden is targeting a gap in routine blood work: people get a one-off result but no clear view of how their biology is changing. Members retest a focused panel six months later, refreshing their protocol as results shift.
"Most people get their blood results back, hear that everything looks normal and move on," said Cronin. "It doesn't necessarily tell them how different aspects of their biology are working together, or what they could be doing to support their long-term health."
What's the endgame? Aden plans to add genetics, microbiome analysis, body composition, and VO₂ max measurements, and to expand across other GCC markets and global wellness hubs. The company describes its membership as health information, not medical diagnosis or treatment.
The signal: The round is modest against a fast-growing consumer preventive-health market — US rival Function Health secured $450 million in growth financing in July after a $298 million Series B. Aden's recurring-retest model fits the category's shift from one-off testing toward ongoing tracking, but the funding scale shows how early-stage it remains. Its investors and membership pricing are undisclosed.
