The company's business model is centered on an annual subscription of $499. This membership provides individuals with two comprehensive lab panels per year, conducted through a partnership with Quest Diagnostics, which has over 2,000 locations across the U.S. The initial panel analyzes over 100 biomarkers—covering areas like heart health, hormones, thyroid function, metabolic health, nutrient levels, and cancer signals—which is significantly more extensive than a typical physical. A follow-up test of over 60 markers is conducted 3-6 months later to track changes. Function Health operates on an asset-light model, not owning the labs but providing the technology and customer experience layer, which allows it to maintain transparent pricing without involving insurance, though services may be eligible for FSA/HSA reimbursement.

Subscribers receive their results through a secure digital dashboard, which includes a written summary and insights from clinicians based on the data. While the platform does not offer direct consultations or treatment, it alerts members to any urgent results.
