Multipolitan raises $2M seed to fund Manila tech expansion

What's the deal? Singapore-based mobility technology firm MultipolitanDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised $2 million in seed funding led by venture studio EmergentXDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and plans to open a Manila office. The round valued the company at $25 million before the investment.

What's the endgame? Multipolitan is building a platform to consolidate information that travelers and migrants typically retrieve from multiple systems — passport and visa records, entry requirements, travel documents, and flight updates. The proceeds will fund the global launch of its free consumer app in December 2026 and the expansion of its Private Client business.

What does the platform do? Features include family document management, deadline reminders, and tools to track time spent abroad and remaining stay allowances. Its Private Client business has generated more than $4 million in net revenue in under two years, with a premium app version due in the second quarter of 2027.

Why Manila? The city will serve as a product development base, drawing on its pool of mobile and full-stack developers. The company also sees opportunity in the Philippines' growing community of digital nomads — both a potential market and a source of talent.

Multipolitan currently employs more than 40 people across Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Bengaluru, and plans to add Manila and Kuala Lumpur. It did not disclose hiring targets, the amount earmarked for the Philippine expansion, or an office opening date.

What's driving demand? "As more Filipinos travel, work, study, and build lives across borders, we see growing demand for clear, connected mobility support," co-founder Nirbhay Handa said.

The signal: The $2 million round is modest against a Philippine startup market where H1 2026 funding reached $81 million across just seven deals, with fintech alone accounting for roughly $61 million. That concentration makes Multipolitan's Manila office more notable as a hiring and product move than a local funding event — its significance will hinge on whether it generates substantial local product work rather than serving as a small extension of a regional team.
