MTIP opens evergreen fund for European healthtech, breaking from closed-end model
What's the deal? MTIPDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the Swiss healthcare technology investor, has launched the EverHealth Fund, an evergreen private equity vehicle focused on European healthtech. The Luxembourg-domiciled fund is structured as a European Long-Term Investment Fund (ELTIF) and is now open for subscriptions.
What's the endgame? EverHealth will invest across three areas: direct investments in European healthtech companies, follow-on investments in existing MTIP portfolio companies, and selected secondary opportunities. The aim is a diversified portfolio built over time, drawing on MTIP's sector work since 2014.
Why now? The fund expands MTIP's platform beyond its traditional closed-end funds and was designed in response to investor demand for a more flexible route into private equity. It offers EUR and CHF share classes, fully funded shares with no capital calls, and quarterly subscription and redemption windows.
"The launch of the MTIP EverHealth Fund marks an important next step for MTIP," said Christoph Kausch, managing partner. "It allows us to bring our specialist healthcare technology investment strategy into an evergreen format."
What could go wrong? The semi-liquid structure has no fixed end date, but quarterly redemption is not guaranteed liquidity. Reports point to a three-year initial lock-up and fund-level liquidity conditions that could limit exits.
The signal: MTIP's launch lands amid a wave of European healthcare fundraising — LauxeraDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → closed a €520 million growth fund in May 2026, while Earlybird Health and Gilde HealthcareDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → announced funds of €173 million and €600 million in late October. MTIP disclosed no target or commitments, so the notable point is less the scale than the evergreen structure offering continuous exposure to a specialist strategy.
