CIRCOR to buy Italy's Green Silence Group to expand industrial pumps
What's the deal? CIRCOR, a KKR portfolio company and global maker of flow control products, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Green Silence Group S.p.A., an Italian provider of hydraulic pumps, electric motors, and engineering solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.
What's the endgame? The acquisition folds in the capabilities of Green Silence brands Settima, Motive, and Spin — including three-screw and ultra-low-noise hydraulic pumps, electric motors, and rare-earth-free motor technologies. Green Silence will become part of CIRCOR's Industrial Pumps Europe business, and its staff will join CIRCOR's employee ownership program.
Why now? CIRCOR has been building out its pump and flow-control portfolio. In 2025, it bought Indian pump makers Swelore EngineeringDealroom has a profile for this one. "The acquisition of Green Silence Group is an important step in strengthening and expanding our Industrial business," said chief executive officer Saif Siddiqui. He said the deal enhances CIRCOR's core pump offering in industrial and power generation markets while adding capabilities in mobile applications.
For Green Silence, the tie-up offers access to CIRCOR's global commercial platform. "CIRCOR shares our focus on innovation, performance and customer value, and its global platform creates new opportunities to expand our reach," said Green Silence chief executive officer Luca Pellegrini.
The signal: The deal reflects continued consolidation across flow control, following FlowserveDealroom has a profile for this one. For CIRCOR, the move reads as a portfolio-and-technology expansion rather than a shift in strategy — though undisclosed terms make its scale hard to gauge.
