What's the company? Founded in April 2021 and based in Shanghai's Zhangjiang district, Lingshu builds industrial large language models and AI agents. Its product stack spans industrial data, vertical models, an agent platform, and industry-specific agents, including its Lead Agents AI and Lead Series software lines.

Why now? This is Lingshu's third round, extending earlier backing from Sequoia China, Linear CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and Ginkgo Valley CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The company says it is now in talks with several institutions for an A+ round.

What's the endgame? Lingshu is building channels to reach smaller manufacturers, including a tie-up with telecom operators' model-as-a-service platforms. It is also working with mainstream base-model makers on industrial-scenario adaptation and co-developing the ecosystem.

The team numbers close to 100, with R&D staff making up more than 70%. Founder Guo Wenwei leads a core team with over 20 years in industrial operations and global manufacturing.

What could go wrong? Lingshu says its products have been used by more than 100 leading industrial firms and that first-half 2026 revenue already exceeded all of 2025, with full-year profit expected. These figures are company-disclosed, and strong customer counts alone do not prove the model scales into repeatable deployments and recurring revenue.

The signal: The round aligns with Shanghai's recent push on "AI plus manufacturing," which backs industrial models, agents, and factory applications. It also reflects a wider shift in capital — from general-purpose models toward concrete uses in engineering, design, and production.
