Try Dealroom →, a recreational sports operations platform founded in 2022. Financial terms were not disclosed, but WISE principal Konrad von Moltke called it a "material investment" for both sides. It extends Rec's $11 million Series A, raising its total to more than $20 million.

What's the endgame? Rec's platform connects people with local rec centers to rent court time, book lessons, or enroll in sports programs. It is used by more than 100 park districts and private facilities across 30 states, and recently launched an AI assistant, "Seb," to automate administrative work. Co-founder and president Rachel Williams said the platform is sport-agnostic and could expand into broader facility or community program management.

Why now? The deal continues a wave of strategic capital following Rec's 2025 Series A, led by Crosslink Capital. That round drew backers including Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman's Thirty Five VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Joe Montana's Liquid 2 Ventures, and Larry Fitzgerald Jr. USTA Ventures, the US Tennis Association's investment arm, invested in August.

What's the Wilf angle? Von Moltke said WISE will first connect Rec with new investors, then explore using the platform across the family's sports and real estate holdings. Those include the NFL's Vikings, MLS' Orlando City SCDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the NWSL's Orlando Pride, and developers Garden Homes and Garden Commercial.

What's next? Williams said Rec will consider raising a Series B in 2027, depending on how fast the company and demand grow.

The signal: The round reflects rising investor appetite for the fragmented, often outdated administration of local recreation. "I see it as a way to power spaces and a much broader market than first meets the eye," von Moltke said.
