Gaio raises $1.03M seed led by G4 to automate Instagram selling

What's the deal? GaioDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Brazilian social selling startup, has raised US$1.41M in a seed round led by G4. An unnamed fund and angel investors also joined.

What's the endgame? Gaio automates sales conversations on Instagram, using Meta's official API to answer comments, direct messages, and stories around the clock. The startup serves roughly 5,000 brands and creators through tools that rank engaged followers, run a smart inbox, and build messaging automations.

The capital will fund a shift toward an AI-native platform that spots engagement opportunities and drives conversion without human effort. Gaio also plans a consultancy arm for established companies that use content as an acquisition channel.

Why G4? The relationship began when the education group became a customer. After adopting Gaio to run Instagram sales, G4 says it grew monthly revenue from direct messages tenfold. "My team knows who to prioritise and the direct became a US$1.02M per month channel. Investing was a consequence," said G4 Educação co-founder Alfredo Soares (translated from Portuguese).

By the numbers: At $1.03 million, the raise lands in the 71st percentile for seed deals by size. It follows a 2025 angel round that valued Gaio at about $1.7 million, signalling a step up in ambition, though valuation and terms for the new round were not disclosed.

Who's joining: Kleber Nascimento, former chief technology officer of logistics startup UelloDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → — sold to RennerDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → in 2022 — has joined as CTO. He works alongside founders Bernardo Rodela, Marcos Varotti, and Tiago Salles, who met at Link School of BusinessDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.

The signal: Brazilian social commerce is moving beyond promotional creator posts toward direct selling, with creator-economy advertising reaching about US$5.88B in 2025, per IAB Brasil and Ibope figures cited by InfoMoney. That makes Gaio's follower-to-customer automation timely — but in a crowded channel, measurable sales conversion will decide whether the bet pays off.
