China's 3Srobotics debuts welding robots in North America after three funding rounds

What's the deal? Chinese welding robotics company 3Srobotics made its North American debut at FABTECH 2026 in Las Vegas, which opened on October 21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. At its booth, the company showed its Physical AI technology and embodied intelligent welding systems, its first overseas exhibition.

Why now? The debut follows a run of investor interest: 3Srobotics has closed three funding rounds in under a year, with the latest raising tens of millions of US dollars. The company, founded in 2020, is using that momentum to push into global markets.

What's the endgame? 3Srobotics wants robots that perceive, decide, and act on their own, rather than relying on manual teaching and fixed programs. It argues traditional robots struggle with complex, small-batch work in shipbuilding, steel structures, and heavy equipment.

Its FABTECH launch centred on a 3-in-1 Embodied Intelligent Welding System, which combines robotic hardware, AI vision, and welding into one closed loop. Powered by the in-house Arclys system, it uses a 3D camera to identify workpieces, AI to plan weld paths and parameters, and a multi-axis arm to execute.

The product reflects three generations of development: general-purpose industrial robots, embodied intelligent welding robots that add AI vision, and a third generation that adds mobility to work beyond fixed stations.

The signal: A global shift toward intelligent manufacturing is opening doors for Chinese automation firms as demand grows for flexible production and higher-quality welding. 3Srobotics' first step onto the FABTECH stage signals ambition to compete abroad — not just supply at home.
