Try Dealroom →, a B2B influencer marketing agency that connects brands with content creators through services spanning contracts, licensing, and campaign management. The all-cash deal, which includes an earnout component, is described as "multimillion-dollar," though specific terms were not disclosed. It marks the social and influencer marketing company's first-ever acquisition.
Why now? Creator economy dealmaking is accelerating. There were 70 creator economy M&A transactions in the first half of 2026, up 23% year-over-year, according to advisory firm Quartermast Advisors, which advised Creator Authority on the sale.
What's the endgame? The deal positions Billion Dollar Boy to capitalise on B2B creator marketing as agencies built in the consumer space move into business audiences. Following the acquisition, the group forecasts its 2027 revenue will exceed $100 million; its global revenue grew 24% in the past 12 months.
How it started: The deal began with a LinkedIn message. In 2023, cofounders Edward East and Thomas Walters followed Brendan Gahan's content about B2B creators on the platform, and East arranged an intro call that evolved into takeover talks.
Gahan, who will become senior vice president of B2B at Billion Dollar Boy, compared the moment to an earlier platform boom. "It feels like YouTube in 2010; there's this moment when it just explodes, and I'm excited to grow with it," he said.
What's expanding? Creator Authority's team will grow from around 15 people to between 30 and 40, with some existing Billion Dollar Boy staff shifting across. The move extends Creator Authority's presence to New York and London from its current bases in Los Angeles and Austin.
The backdrop: LinkedIn has been investing heavily in influencer marketing, launching a creator marketplace this summer and enhancing its BrandLink revenue-sharing program. In a Censuswide survey commissioned by Billion Dollar Boy of more than 1,000 marketing decision-makers in the US and UK, 20% said they invested in B2B creator marketing in 2026.
