What's the endgame? Soufflé's product engine, REMEDY (Receptor Mediated Delivery), aims to deliver oligonucleotide therapies to specific cells outside the liver — a long-standing bottleneck in genetic medicine. Its lead program targets striated muscle in facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD), a disease with no approved disease-modifying therapies.
Two further programs target the phospholamban gene in heart cells to address heart failure, and an undisclosed target for muscle and metabolic disorders.

"Patients have waited long enough for real precision from targeted therapies," said Stefan Vitorovic, co-founder and managing director of Juvia Group. Chief executive officer Amir Nashat said the backing supports Soufflé's belief that REMEDY "can make an impact in patients' lives."
The signal: At $135 million, the round sits in the top 5% of all US Series B rounds in health by size, underlining strong investor appetite for cell-specific delivery platforms that could extend RNA medicine well beyond the liver.
