Try Dealroom →, a developer of a digital-twin platform that turns a retailer's existing security cameras into a live model of the store. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal pairs Site Bionics' computer vision with GreyOrange's gStore RFID intelligence to give retailers one view of products and people on the floor.

What's the endgame? The combined system builds an in-store sales funnel down to the individual item and automates loss investigations. GreyOrange plans to deploy the technology first in gStore, then extend it into warehouse operations through its GreyMatter platform.

Who's joining? Site Bionics was founded by Adam Blair, founding CTO of RADAR, and Don Gillett, the former head architect of Amazon GoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. Both, along with their team, have joined GreyOrange.

Why now? Retailers have long been promised that RFID and computer vision would combine to show the full picture of their stores. "That promise has gone unmet," said Blair, adding that the companies are "finally delivering on it."

The platform requires no new hardware and uses video-language models to turn camera footage into plain-language answers, so teams can ask which stores set up a display as planned instead of scrubbing through hours of video. GreyOrange says all tracking is anonymous and video is processed on site.

The signal: The acquisition reflects a broader push toward "physical AI," where retailers aim to do more with infrastructure they already own. By folding people-tracking into item-level inventory data, GreyOrange is betting that a single view of stores — fewer blind spots, faster decisions — will drive more in-store conversions.
