What's the deal? Hardywood Park Craft BreweryDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired fellow Virginia brewer Starr HillDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → in an all-equity transaction, the company announced in October. No cash changed hands; Starr Hill's owners become partial owners of Hardywood.

What changes? Not much for drinkers, at least for now. Both breweries will keep brewing at their current locations, running their existing taprooms, and serving customers across Virginia and beyond.

By the numbers: The combined business now operates nine taprooms across the state. Starr Hill is based in Crozet, near Charlottesville; Hardywood is based in Richmond.
