Try Dealroom →, and Digitalis VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → also participated. Nextech's Kanishka Pothula and Norwest's Brian Matesic will join Matchpoint's board.

What's the endgame? The money funds Matchpoint's lead asset, MPT-062, an oral T cell modulator, toward clinical proof-of-concept. Clinical development is set to begin in 2027, with proceeds also advancing the broader pipeline.

Why now? Matchpoint designs covalent small molecules aimed at targets long considered hard to drug. It also continues a program funded by Novartis under a July 2025 agreement.

"MPT-062 could fundamentally change the management of many common immune-mediated inflammatory conditions with an oral medicine," said Pothula, managing partner at Nextech Invest. Chief executive officer Andre Turenne said the round "reflects our substantial progress in the discovery of differentiated first-in-class oral therapies."

The signal: At $150 million, the round sits above roughly 97% of all US health Series B deals on record — a sign that investors remain willing to write large cheques for oral alternatives to injectable autoimmune biologics.
